Let's talk a bit about Mr Joe Taylor.
We were back in town to log on internet, look for a reel supermarket and feel like "civilised", at least once in the month, when we suddenly found the Milonga Tango Bar. So we just went in to see if they were some possibilities to pratice a bit of our Argentino tango, and we met Joe.
He owned the place and he is absolutely crazy and obvisouly nostalgic about tango. He teaches the dance and organise national bals in the town. Napier is said as an art-deco city, quite modern..
THerfore Joe was really happy to met this french couple freslhy arrived from Benos AIres and definitely willing to learn tango. He straigth started to dance with Laurence, showing me nice moves and offered us to stay one night here. He gave us the keys of the bar and we slept just above, in between two snookers!! We went all together in his house, met his nice family, three girls and a little Joe, plus his mother who is a pure maori. He is himslef half maori half italian. Then he offered us a nice Mongolian meal in a restaurant where two brazialian friends of him cooked for us on a stone made cooking table. Laurence enjoyed a lot. Fonallay we came back to the tango bar and pratcice a long part of the night, drinking good red wine. Thanks again to you Joe.

Hola Carlos. Usted entiendes eso? Encontrabamaos Tango en Nueva Zelanda!! Hay que ir en la cuidad de Napier en la isla del norte y hablar con el senor Joe Taylor. El es completamente loco de tango, ensene tambien a bailar y organisa milonga nacionale! Su estilo parece un poco differente porque le gusta fleccionar las rodillas! Porque no? Ahora tienes una direcion famosa de tango en N.Z. Se precisa hablkar de elle porque aqui falta de bailadores y de amorosos de tango. El es un poco nostalgico por eso, lo que va bien con el tango no??
